Rare radio chatter between the Arthur M. Anderson and the Coast Guard November 10th, 1975. The last time anyone ever heard from the Edmund Fitzgerald
Comments on "The Lost Fitzgerald Search Tapes"
would have? been an ... would have? been an interesting video, but there is this FUKING INANE MUSIC INTERFERING WITH THE FUKING CHATTER.
rip the crew but I ... rip the crew but I think because of the ice on the ship well over 100lbs plus the one way direction of the lake? the waves created momentum and the iron ore cause the ship to tip one way and flip over
thumbs down? here!! ... thumbs down? here!! thats being a ass!!
why say s**t that ... why say s**t that you dont know, good men lost their lives ,dont? be a dick!!!!
Well done? Well done?
Can everybody ... Can everybody please give MatrixFactoryGuy a thumbs down for his ignorant? comment?
Pretty insulting. I ... Pretty insulting. I live in Mississippi now but my mom and dad lived in Superior WI at the time and my dad worked out on the docks. As a matter of fact he helped paint the ship 3 days before her final voyage. I? had to call up my dad and ask what he thought about your comment about Mcsorely being drunk when it went down... a man he knew and a man that was well respected... didn't drink... and had a reputation of going through the tough weather. No bodies were recovered for autopsies. Insulting.
It's simple physics ... It's simple physics.. fully loaded ship with ore and sitting low in water. Combine that with a storm and waves splashing over 3/4 of the ship and probably flooding the cargo compartments because some were open, ship gets heavier and starts listing and the lowering of the ship is gradual and went unnoticed by the crew until.........a couple huge waves swamp the ship? and it sinks like a rock!
Ship captain McSorely last trip before he retired....probably drunk during this voyage no doubt
Lake Superior is ... Lake Superior is every bit? as bad as the ocean when dealing with the kind of Storm this ship went through.
"ALL THINGS were ... "ALL THINGS were created by Him and for HIM and HE is before all things and by HIM all things consist." Colossians 1:16,17 And unless I accidentally picked up a Greek Mythology book instead of the 1611 authorized King James Version of the Holy? Bible, the HE that is referenced in that verse in Colossians (even though Colossi is in Greece) is Jesus Christ.
Are you saying you ... Are you saying you believe? in Poseidon?
Yeah,? I know. ... Yeah,? I know. Just think about the God that created them!
"You have to ... "You have to respect the lake".
Wow!.
With those words, that Captain let you look into the window of all his knowledge and experience, what? a man!.
We'll never know ... We'll never know for sure what happened that night. All we know? now is all there is to find out.
I pray that one day ... I pray that one day someone will find definitive proof as to what happened so those 29 men can finally rest in peace. The power of a Great Lakes storm should never be underestimated and that do? dare to challenge the notion that that storm was not that severe are fools thinking such a thing.
The Native American ... The Native American Tribe Ojibwe call the? lake Gichigami, meaning "big water."
yes, there was a ... yes, there was a fellow? from ashtabula on there, Karl A. Peckol, age 20, watchman, Ashtabula, Ohio, but he also perished.
just wondering? if ... just wondering? if anyone knows what you mean when you call lake superior that ?
if you get a chance ... if you get a chance, around labor day, walk across the Macinac Bridge, ya can see both lake mich. and lake huron, and if you do,? you can look through the grating on the bridge and see the water below.
When I was in grade ... When I was in grade 5 we took a class trip to Toronto where we went on a ship that was going across Lake Ontario, and the captain of? that ship picked one of the kids to "captain" the ship (under his help and guidance, of course). He chose me, and I remember holding the wheel and the first thing he ever said in regards to it all was "you have respect the lake." Years on, I heard of the Edmund Fitzgerald on Superior, and recalled my time on the lake and realized that he wasn't lying. Unbelievable
Dont f**k? with the ... Dont f**k? with the lakes.
great work ... great work absolutly brought tears to me eyes....the fear in the voice of the captain of the Anderson when they asked him to come about but he still did it what a brave? man knowing that he could end up going down just a great peice of work
i fish? michigan ... i fish? michigan very regularly and fear it every time i leave harbor
I am originally ... I am originally from the State of Michigan and it iis my heart-felt opinion that the Michigan Coast Gaurd should be ashamed of thenmselves for sending out the ships that had made t to the harbor of White Fish Bay instead of going out themselves...they knew the conditions of the weather...
To ths day tears fall down my face for the 29 men who lost their lves the day...May God have them with? him...May those men always know that they will npt ever be forgotten...
not gonna lie...i ... not gonna lie...i know nothing? about boats and live nowhere near Lake Superior, but the images of the Edmund Fitzgerald wreck are pretty haunting
spent years on the ... spent years on the east coast...shrimping... not on the Great Lakes....but the best idea as i can see is they broke apart when the trough of the wavevs left No support for the? mid of that ship
How ridiculous and ... How ridiculous and irresponsible was? the Coast Guard to ask the Anderson to go back out there? So instead of one ship lost there'd be two!!
as a navy vet that ... as a navy vet that was? on a clg-5 flagship,far east/asia tour.I was in a typhoon,believe me,it is some BAD STUFF.
2001 Mazda Tribute Review
Mazda's commercials show its new Tribute zooming around with a pack of Miatas. This new sport-utility, we are led to infer, is just as prepared to zoom around a twisting road racing circuit as it is to veer off into the woods on a primitive two-track.
2006 Mazda Tribute Review
It's a well-worn cliche, but the Mazda Tribute puts some sport in sport utility. Responsive handling and brisk performance from the available V6 engine make the Tribute one of the sportiest of the compact SUVs.The 2005 model line was recast to complement the rest of the Mazda lineup, and little has changed with the 2006 model.
